Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: 1 July 2024
1. Scope of Services
Domestic Glitch provides customised digital music creation services, tailored to each client’s preferences. This may include songwriting, instrumental arrangement, vocal recording, mixing, and production — all based on the client’s provided input. All music and vocals are produced digitally using professional composition tools and sound design techniques to create high-quality, unique musical works.
2. Payment Terms
Upfront Payment Required: Full payment is required before any work will begin. By making payment, the client agrees to these Terms and Conditions.
Refund Policy – Delivery Guarantee: If Domestic Glitch fails to deliver the initial version of the music within 28 business days of receiving full payment and all required information from the client, a full refund will be issued.
Note: While our typical turnaround time is 5 business days, delays may occur during periods of high demand or unforeseen circumstances. Clients will be notified promptly of any delays.
3. Copyright and Ownership
Client Ownership: Upon full payment, all rights to the final customised digital music are transferred to the client. The client may use the track for personal or commercial purposes, without attribution or additional permissions.
No Retained Rights: Domestic Glitch does not retain any rights to the finished product and will not reuse, resell, or repurpose the client’s composition in any way.
Third-Party Content: Clients are responsible for ensuring they have the legal right to use any materials they submit (e.g., lyrics, melodies, samples). Domestic Glitch accepts no liability for legal issues arising from client-supplied content.
4. Revisions and Satisfaction
Revisions Available: Clients may request revisions to their track. All revisions incur a small additional fee, quoted based on the scope of the changes requested.
- Revision requests must be made within 7 days of delivery.
- Clients must provide clear and specific instructions (e.g., changes to lyrics, genre, mood, tempo, instrumentation).
No Refunds for Creative Preference: Due to the subjective and artistic nature of music, no refunds will be issued due to creative preferences or stylistic interpretation once the music has been delivered — except as outlined under Section 2.
5. Client Responsibilities
Provide Accurate Information: Clients must supply complete, clear guidance at the time of order — including relevant names, messages, stories, themes, moods, or preferences.
Communication: Clients must respond to questions or feedback requests in a timely manner to prevent delays in delivery.
6. Delivery Timelines
Standard Turnaround: Domestic Glitch aims to deliver the initial digital track within 5 business days of receiving full payment and complete client input.
Delays: Delays may occur during peak periods or due to technical issues. Clients will be notified if delivery timelines are affected.
7. Confidentiality and Privacy
Confidentiality: All client information and project details are treated as confidential. Domestic Glitch will not share any details publicly or with third parties without explicit consent.
Privacy Compliance: Personal information is handled in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Please refer to our [Privacy Policy] for more information.
8. Limitation of Liability
Service Limitation: Domestic Glitch’s liability is limited to the total amount paid by the client for the commissioned service.
Indemnity: The client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Domestic Glitch from any claims, legal actions, or losses arising from the use of the delivered music — especially in relation to content provided by the client.
9. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved within the jurisdiction of NSW courts.
10. Amendments
Domestic Glitch reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The latest version will always be published on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.
